Camille Dawson is a critically acclaimed comedy writer, performer and director. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Frisky Arts. Camille has written and performed in original theatre pieces (The War Inside, PUSSY, Girl World, Night on Boob Mountain), carving out a multi-art, anarchic and comedic style.

 

Her work has been described as “genius” (Broadway Baby), “a roaring sucess” (The Lancet) and “universally relatable” (A Younger Theatre).

She has performed her work nationally and internationally at venues including: Southbank Centre, The Pleasance Theatre London, Bristol Old Vic, The Barbican, Camden People’s Theatre, The Albany Theatre and New Diorama, receiving 5-star reviews and sell out houses. 

Beyond her original work, Camille is a collaborator with: Emergency Exit Arts, Punchdrunk, Blue Mouth Inc and an associate artist at New Diorama and The Albany Theatre.

 

She was a recipient of Arts Council England 'Develop Your Creative Practice' fund to specialise in socio-political playwrighting. Since then she has created multi-platform immersive productions spanning theatre, film, audio and installation.
